Is that a Leprechan I see?

St Patrick's Day is almost upon us and here at Morning Glories we have no shortage of shamrocks. We have pilsners, wine glasses, martini's and margarita's ready for your favorite libatiion. These painted shamrocks can be hand painted on any piece of glassware. Here's what you'll see in the shop.

One of my favorite recipes for serving Martini's

Pour all ingredients into a shaker over ice, shake and pour into you shamrock martini glass.

Just A Dollop!!

Once winter sets in and there's snow on the ground I like to come home from my day job and have a nice warm cup of hot chocolate with a dollop of whip creme (or marshmallows). And a great way to enjoy that drink is in some beautiful mugs that have been hand painted just for this reason.

There are many to choose from at Morning Glories shop but here are just a few that are available.
So whatever your pleasure please stop by the shop and pick up a mug just for you.

Snow, Snow Go Away!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been snowing here in the Eastern part of the country for weeks now......54 inches and counting and I for one can't wait for the warmer weather.
I have had a lot of time to think about the Spring season and a few new designs and will be starting to work on them for my Etsy shop.

I have found that Polka Dots have become a trend and quite a few of my customers like them. So I am featuring a few pieces of glassware in Morning Glories shop.

Martini Glasses in pink, blue, lavender and green
Champagne Flutes in silver and gold
Butter dish in pink, sage and white
Polka Dots on glassware are a fun way to serve your family and guest and can be created in any color on any piece of tableware.

Happy New Year!

As Christmas ends and the New Year begins I look forward to the best 2014 ever! As I don't enjoy taking down all the decorations as much as I love putting them up...........this year I must admit was very hectic..........and it always makes me a little sad to see such a bare house..........but the holidays must end so that we can anticipate and enjoy them next year!
This year my twin grandson really enjoyed Christmas, they finally got who Santa was and the meaning of Christmas and what part Jesus plays in it all. It was so nice to see them in their Christmas show and spend time with them over Christmas. Christopher is only 10 months old and really wasn't much into Christmas this year......but I know that will change in the years to come.  He still looked so cute in his Christmas outfit and was excited to watch the boys open their gifts as he sat with Mommy and she helped open his gifts.

As New Year's Eve approaches, we will spend it with good friends and good food as always. I wish you a very Happy, Healthy New Year from my home to yours.

A Pot of Chili Makes the Perfect Sunday Meal

In addition to painting another thing that I like to do is cook. I don't have much time to do that so soups, stews and chili's are a quick one pot way to make a delicious meal. A good way to heat up the night is with a hearty bowl of chili and I have two great recipes to share with you too!
