A busy 10 months

It's been a very busy 10 months. I retired from my full time job in April scheduling surgery for 4 very busy electrophysiologist. I thought I would have plenty of time to do the things that I want to do now. But things don't always turn out the way you want them to, life gets in the way.
In past blogs I told you that I had 2 twin grandsons, and then another grandson. Now we have added a grand daughter. I love them very much and try to see them as much as possible.
I have also opened another Etsy shop call The Piggy Bank Shop (in addition to my Morning Glories Shop). This shop is dedicated to Piggy Banks for children and adults. I also create handpainted art on frames and a few other accessories. The piggy banks are hand painted with beautiful designs that I love painting. They are large banks in an adorable style. Here are just a few of what you might expect to see if you visit my new shop.

It's a Rainy Night in Feasterville!

As I am sitting here, it is pouring rain outside. I love when it rains and I have nothing to do and can just sit and enjoy the sound and smell of it.
As things are slow at the shop right now I have been creating alot of Treasuries on Etsy and sharing with the many teams I am part of.  But I still have taken the time to create a few new pieces for my shop and have had alot of fun doing this. Here are just a few of my new designs.

ARE YOU READY FOR  LOVE DAY?

Valentine's day is just around the corner.  Every year my husband and I get together with friends and pick a restaurant that can accommodate 25 people for a special Valentine dinner. This year my husband and I are hosting it at Adriano's Cucina Italiano. They have the most delicious food and if you live in Philadelphia or the surrounding areas and get a chance to go you will not be disappointed in your meal.  You can follow him on FB at https://www.facebook.com/AdrianosCucina?rf=115679511795557 or http://www.yelp.com/biz/adrianos-cucina-italiana-philadelphia

New Year, New Beginnings

2014 was a very busy year and a crazy holiday season. And through it all I started a new business "Art by the Glass II" (sip and paint party)
(No, I have not closed my Morning Glories shop on Etsy I'm just ambitious!)
How did this all come about you might ask? Well it all came about while doing a craft show in November. A young lady was looking at my booth and said she like my work and did I do sip and paint parties? I wasn't sure what she was talking about (guess I live under a rock) Anyway she proceeded to tell me about it and said if I would do it she would book a party.
Well that piqued my curiosity and after doing a lot of research I started Art by the Glass II.
The concept is a host books a party, invites as many guest as they have seating for and I supply everything else to paint a masterpiece of their own! I have to tell you I started booking these parties and they are so much fun, not only for me but the guest too! Take a look..................
If your in the Bucks Pa, Montgomery Pa or Philadephia Pa area why not host one of your own sip and paint parties with Art by the Glass II and see what all the hypes about.  You & your guest are sure to have a great time!

Craft Shows

Today was our first craft show of 2014 at Christian Life Center in Bensalem, Pa. It wasn't the best craft show I've ever done but it did pick up at the end of the day. In doing so many shows over the years I have figured out that your best customers are people who shop by themselves or are repeat customers.
If they come with there husband and they find something they like the husband says "you don't need that". She second guesses herself and then they walk away.
The crafter next to me was selling jewelry. Beautiful jewelery "Creations by Francie" www.creationsbyfrancie.com Well this elderly women saw a pair of earrings that she loved and just had to have. But she had two other people with her and she asked what they thought. One of her friends said "their cute" and walked away, so the other person followed her...........needless to say the customer did not buy the earrings!

So tomorrow we have another craft show at Father Judge in Philadelphia, Pa. Here's hoping the husbands and friends stay home so the customers can do some guilt free shopping.

If your in the Bucks county Montglomery county or Philadelphia Pa area stop by and see us tomorrow or:
11/1/14  at  St Basil Academy
