Happy New Year!

As Christmas ends and the New Year begins I look forward to the best 2014 ever! As I don't enjoy taking down all the decorations as much as I love putting them up...........this year I must admit was very hectic..........and it always makes me a little sad to see such a bare house..........but the holidays must end so that we can anticipate and enjoy them next year!
This year my twin grandson really enjoyed Christmas, they finally got who Santa was and the meaning of Christmas and what part Jesus plays in it all. It was so nice to see them in their Christmas show and spend time with them over Christmas. Christopher is only 10 months old and really wasn't much into Christmas this year......but I know that will change in the years to come.  He still looked so cute in his Christmas outfit and was excited to watch the boys open their gifts as he sat with Mommy and she helped open his gifts.

As New Year's Eve approaches, we will spend it with good friends and good food as always. I wish you a very Happy, Healthy New Year from my home to yours.

A Pot of Chili Makes the Perfect Sunday Meal

In addition to painting another thing that I like to do is cook. I don't have much time to do that so soups, stews and chili's are a quick one pot way to make a delicious meal. A good way to heat up the night is with a hearty bowl of chili and I have two great recipes to share with you too!

The Craft Season is Upon Us.............

As I prepare for many of the upcoming craft shows, I love working with the many Fall colors there are to choose from.  It you are a glass painter like I am you know how fun it is not only to paint on glass but to mix the paints to get just the right colors you need for your special projects.

I have tried many paints but always come back to Folkart Enamels.  I love the rich creamy texture and the way it performs.  I always get a beautiful outcome.
And here are some of the my pieces created with this paint.

St. Basil's Academy                               11/2/13                            Jenkintown, Pa
Charles Boehm Elementary              11/2/13                            Yardley, Pa

As the summer season ends and the Fall and Winter season approach it brings with it chilly weather.
The time changes to day light savings time in most parts of the country. It gets darker earlier and all I can think of is pulling out my soup and stew recipes. Comfort food for the body to keep us warm and content.

Lovin' A Good Cup of Coffee

I do not profess to being a serious coffee drinker. Some would say I'm not a real coffee connoisseur at all.
But............I do love my flavored coffees. We have a Keurig machine.
Keurig® K45 Elite Brewing System

I like the change in the seasons as it is always a new flavor of coffee to try. I have blueberry every morning.........YES I said blueberry, yum! But after dinner all bets are off, carmel apple pie, creme brulee', spicy eggnog, almond biscotti and cherry swirl are just to name a few. What better way to warm the body and soul than with a terrific cup of Joe!!

Ivory Dogwood

Pink Roses

And what better way to enjoy  a perfect

So I don't know if your hooked like me on all the recipes that are turning up on facebook but I share everything so it saves on my time line. Then I can try them later. I made the following recipe and it turned out great. I made two of them, one for home and one for work. Needless to say they were a hit. Toasting champagne glasses for the bride and goom with swirls and linking hearts in silver
And soon to join the Morning Glories family a new Baby Section inspired by our new Grandson Christopher here with Mommy and Daddy.
Very proud parent!
I am so excited about this new baby section that will carry piggy banks, candy dishes, bottle holders, wine glasses for Mommy and Daddy and much more. Be sure to check it out in the next coming weeks! (Here's a sneak peek)

Inspired by a family member for their new grandson Daniel they asked me to paint the pattern from the babies comforter set onto the piggy bank and this was my interpretation of that design. Also personalized with the babies name too!
